I hope to learn as much as possible about different technologies that I can use in the classroom. I believe that it is essential for all teachers to incorporate some form of technology into their lessons reguardless of their content area. Technology is not only engaging, but it will prepare students for their future careers where they will have to use more than a pen and paper to complete their tasks. From this class I am looking forward to learning all the different teaching softwares their are. I also want to learn more about the SmartBoard because I have noticed they are becomming increasingly more prevelant in the schools I have been in recently. I will be of more value to future students if I am competent in different forms of technology. This is a very important class and I am looking forward to being exposed to new technology.

I was glad to read that you had the same expectations for this upcoming semester as I do. Technology is something, as you said, that is a great learning tool! If used correctly and effectively in the classroom it can mean a world of difference in the learning experiences of students and teachers alike. We witnessed this in all of the great videos that we watched during our last class--a perfect example of how technology impacts the learning experience! I look forward to following your blog and hearing more about what you have to say throughout the semester!
ReplyDeleteI still cant get over the software that is out there at our disposal. I ahve no idea what any of it is but looking forward to learning about it. These programs look to be an imporatnt tool in future classrooms.
